Itinerary

Wednesday 10th April

  • Meet at Macdonald Marine Hotel then transfer to Luffness GC

  • 18 holes on the beautiful links course

  • Dinner in the Luffness clubhouse 

  • Transfer to Hotel

 

Thursday 11th April     

  • Breakfast in Hotel

  • Transfer from Hotel to Muirfield GC

  • 18 holes fourball 

  • Lunch

  • 18 holes foursomes

  • Dinner in the Muirfierld clubhouse

  • Transfer to Hotel

 

Friday 12th April           

  • Breakfast and checkout

 

Teams of three will play both courses with a member. Individuals can also play and will be allocated a team. Limited places available. 

 

 

 

Muirfield is one of the oldest golf clubs in the world having been established in 1774 in Leith and eventually moving to East Lothian in 1891. Today Muirfield is a renowned host of major championships amateur and professional, men and women. The course has hosted Eleven Amateur Championships and Sixteen Open Championships.

 

With exception of the championship tees the course has changed little since 1936 but, in 2008 in conjunction with the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews , golf architect Martin Hawtree was commissioned to advise the club on how best to ensure Muirfield remains a challenge to the worlds great golfers.

 

The course has recently been voted the 4th best course in the world.
